Laurus Nobilis: The History of Bay Laurel

Laurus nobilis, otherwise known as Bay Laurel is an aromatic evergreen tree belong to the flowering plant family Lauraceae. It is native to the Mediterranean region and is used as a bay leaf for seasoning in cooking. The Bay Laurel tree + it's leaves hold a prominent place within classical Greek, Roman,+ Biblical culture.
